Virginia brings a unique and valuable blend of experience to her counselling role, shaped by her experience as a physiotherapist working with individuals living with chronic illnesses. Her prior work in physical rehabilitation has given her a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, and she is passionate about supporting clients in navigating both physical and emotional challenges.
Adopting an eclectic therapeutic approach, Virginia tailors her approach to the unique needs of each individual. Her practice integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Narrative Therapy. This flexible and client-centered framework allows her to meet clients where they are, collaboratively working toward meaningful and sustainable change. Her areas of interest include lifestyle management, anxiety, depression, anger management and interpersonal issues — all of which benefit from her compassionate and pragmatic style.
Having lived in various Asian and Australian cities, Virginia is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, allowing her to support clients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Her ability to connect with clients in their preferred language fosters deeper trust and understanding within the therapeutic relationship.
Outside of her professional work, Virginia enjoys badminton, cycling, and yoga - activities that align with her belief in the importance of holistic wellness.
Virginia’s holistic outlook and warm, empathetic presence make her a supportive ally for clients from all walks of life. She is committed to creating a safe space where individuals can explore their concerns, build on their strengths, and move toward their goals. As she begins her journey as an intern counsellor, Virginia looks forward to walking alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges and rediscover their inner resilience.
