Personal information
With a diverse heritage and a rich tapestry of life experiences, Dinar is committed to bringing a unique perspective to her integrative psychotherapist and counsellor-in-training role. Her background working in an international airline has taught her to appreciate cultural diversity and to also embrace the beauty of human connection. As a passionate animal lover-big or small, walk or crawl, she believes they too, are natural healers that bring comfort to the human spirit.
As someone who loves music and acting, Dinar see life as a stage where individuals play different roles every day. This belief has shaped her therapeutic approach, which integrates psychodynamic, person-centred and existential modalities. She values and honours the inner child within all and understands how earlier memories shape individuals. Dinar’s philosophy centres on the principle that, despite life's inevitable challenges, no problem is insurmountable. Thus holding firm to the belief that everyone deserves their own "happy world"- a place of purpose, joy and contentment.
Dinar offers an expertise in confidence-building, navigating personal and professional conflicts and strengthening marital relationships. She is currently pursuing training in Gottman Institute in Marriage Counselling, with plans to specialise in Sex Therapy to demystify misconceptions and foster an understanding surrounding this vital area of care. In addition, Dinar’s prior experience as a special educator allowed her to guide children and teenagers with special needs to thrive and grow. In the community, she serves as a counsellor in the Singapore Changi Prison, providing psychoeducation and support to the incarcerated, assisting them to reintegrate into society with renewed purpose and dignity.
Dinar’s connection to nature and peace further informs her empathetic approach, creating a calm and nurturing therapeutic space. By fostering a connection to oneself, to others, and even to nature, she hopes to guide individuals toward clarity and healing by empowering them to rediscover their strengths and lead fulfilling lives.
As Dinar would say to her clients, "Together we'll walk."
